OC Transpo says it has launched an internal investigation after seeing a video taken by one of its passengers.

Edward Feenstra, posted the video to social media, after an altercation with his OC Transpo bus driver on route #172, on Tuesday night.

Feenstra says his problems with this driver started when he witnessed an incident four days earlier.

On Tuesday, as Feenstra was getting off the bus, he turned back to talk to the driver, keeping his leg on the bus step. He says that’s when the driver closed the door on his knee.

OC Transpo says it received the video this morning, and immediately launched an internal investigation.

“The safety and security of our passengers and operators are our number one priority,” says OC Transpo Assistant Operations Manager, Troy Charter. “We expect our operators to conduct themselves accordingly, but we need to find out what the facts are before we jump to any conclusions.”

The video lasts just over a minute and ends when the driver opens the door.
