Ottawa Police say charges are not expected to be laid after they received reports of a man with a gun inside the Beacon Hill mall.
The call came in around 8:55 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the reported firearm was not real. The mall was evacuated but reopened a short time later.
In a Tweet, Police said the public is not at risk:
One man in custody at Beaconhill Mall. No risk to public. Investigation ongoing. Mall will be reopened soon.
