The City of Ottawa plans to build Nepean's first new sports complex since the 1970s with a $4-million land purchase in the fast-growing suburb of Barrhaven.
The land is in the Stonebridge community at Greenbank and Cambrian roads.
A new sports and culture facility will open by 2013 if plans proceed to schedule, said Coun. Jan Harder.
