What to do with Uber?
People in Ottawa can now have their say. The City has launched a public consultation process, part of its review of the taxi and limousine industries.
The City released two discussion papers on-line, the first of six to be released over the next few weeks. They will deal with emerging issues, taxi economics, customer experience, and other aspects of the industry.
The public is encouraged to read the papers and submit feedback.
"The market should really be driving the changes that are happening. So we want to hear from the public what they want moving forward," says Councillor Diane Deans, Chair of the Community and Protective Services Committee.
The City hopes to receive the final report by the end of the year.
