The City of Gatineau lifted a boil water advisory that had affected approximately 10,000 residents in the Aylmer sector since Thursday.

Analysis and tests confirm that the water is safe to consume as of Sunday. Affected residents had been asked to boil their water for one minute before consuming it.

The City of Gatineau is advising residents to open all taps and let the water run for one minute or until it runs cold before using it.

Follow the same procedure for fountains, and discard any ice that was made while the advisory was in effect.
