This will be James Cartwright's third Olympic Games where he will be competing in the men's C1 slalom. After joining the national team in 1995, Cartwright finished ninth in the 2004 Athens Games and 15th in the 2000 Sydney Games. Originally from Vancouver, Cartwright now makes his home in Ottawa, where he studied human kinetics at the University of Ottawa.
