Two men are being treated for life-threatening injuries after a single vehicle crash on the Queensway.
The car was travelling on the on-ramp from Nicholas Street to the eastbound Queensway just before 3:30 a.m. when it left the road and struck a tree.
Ottawa firefighters had to remove the driver's side door to free the driver from the wreckage.
Paramedics say one man was taken to hospital in critical condition with head injuries and multi-system trauma. The second man in the vehicle suffered head and facial injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police say speed was a factor in the crash.
