About a dozen people gathered outside the constituency office of Ottawa-Vanier MPP Madeleine Meilleur Wednesday to protest against Ontario’s new sex education curriculum.
“I think it’s mostly age inappropriate right now, it’s too explicit,” said Amy Beaudoin.
Protests were planned at MPP constituency offices across the province.
Many parents said they were concerned over what was being taught and at what age. But some parents passing by said this change was long overdue. The curriculum was last updated in 1998.
Some parents outside Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s constituency office said they’d keep their kids at home if changes weren’t made.
