Freezing drizzle warning ended for Ottawa
The freezing drizzle advisory that was issued by Environment Canada for Ottawa Saturday night has ended. The advisory warned of slippery road conditions.
Freezing rain fell on Ottawa throughout the day on Saturday and a patchy drizzle continued into Sunday.
"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice," Environment Canada said in the warning.
The City of Ottawa said its crews treated sidewalks, arterial roads and the winter cycling network.
A freezing rain warning was also in effect in western Quebec.
The Kingston region was also under a rainfall warning, with 20 to 40 millimetres of rain forecasted Sunday.

Environment Canada calls for a high of -4 C with periods of freezing drizzle tonight.
Sunday will have a high of 6 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers or drizzle. Approximately 5 to 10 millimetres of rain are forecasted on Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
The unseasonably higher-than-normal temperatures will continue through Monday with a high of 5 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers. A low of 1 C and a 30 per cent chance showers.are expected overnight.
The average temperatures for this time of year are a high of -5 C and a low of -14 C, according to Environment Canada.
