BANCROFT, Ont. - Police are investigating after two elderly people were found dead in the same area west of Ottawa.
Investigators say the body of an 87-year-old man was found on the roadside in the town of Bancroft around 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
His van was found roughly 1.5 kilometres away.
Police say a canine team was brought in and discovered the body of a 79-year-old woman in a wooded area close by.
Police aren't saying if the two are related.
They say they do not believe the two died as a result of foul play.
