Ottawa Police say they are investigating an unprovoked attack on a female victim Sunday morning at Oak and Preston Street.
Police say a suspect grabbed the victim from behind, and then proceeded to cut off her ponytail.
She fought back and he fled.
The suspect is described as white, 6 feet tall, wearing a dark jacket, tuque and blue jeans.
