Country star Carrie Underwood wore a replica of her fiancé's Ottawa Senators jersey as she gave on encore performance to a crowd of about 10,000 at Scotiabank Place Wednesday night.

It was the first time Underwood performed for her new "home-town" crowd after getting engaged to Sens forward Mike Fisher in December.

Underwood belted out tunes from her latest album during Wednesday's stop in Ottawa as part of her "Play On" tour, which is scheduled to stop in 54 cities.

The star has been spotted at various locations in Ottawa since she started dating Fisher, including several sightings at Sens games.

The couple made their first public appearance together in January at the annual Sens Soiree fundraiser at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau.

The pair reportedly met after Underwood performed at a concert in Ottawa in March 2008.

Underwood shot to stardom after winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. She has sold more than 11 million albums.
