Students at St Michael Catholic high school have spent weeks creating a replica WW1 trench. They’ve dug up tonnes of dirt and filled 1500 sandbags.
The grade 10 and 12 students have spent every history class on the project since early October. The goal was to take history off the page. This is the second time in six years the high school history teacher, Fred Bortolussi, has had his students build a trench.
