An eastern Ontario man is dead and his son is injured after a head-on collision on a county road east of Prescott.
Ontario Provincial Police says Peter Biggs, 48, was killed when his car was struck by an oncoming vehicle on County Road 2 in Grenville County at about 10 p.m. Monday. Biggs, of Prescott, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver's side of his car was heavily damaged. Biggs' son, Jason, who was a passenger in the vehicle, received minor injuries.
The 28-year-old driver of the other vehicle was severely injured in the crash.
Billy Joe Armstrong, also of Prescott, was transported to hospital in Ottawa where he is being treated for his injuries.
Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
