Police investigate Ottawa's 5th homicide of the year

The Ottawa Police are now investigating Ottawa's 5th homicide of the year.

Police were called to a townhouse complex on Ritchie Street in Ottawa's west end just before midnight. They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police and paramedics on the scene administered medical aid and transported him to hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Dead is 24 year old Malik Adjokatcher. He was also known as the local Hip Hop artist, Shylock.

Neighbours say they heard three gunshots and a group of men shouting and running prior to the police arriving.
