Police have identified the young man killed in an ATV crash over the weekend as 18-year-old Justin Daniel Makivirta.
Makivirta died after he overturned his ATV on a path behind his home in L'Ange Gardien, Que., north of Buckingham, Saturday morning.
The crash trapped the victim under his ATV. He was pronounced dead in hospital.
Police say Makivirta was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed and driver error are being investigated as possible causes.
The crash is the third fatal ATV crash in west Quebec this month.
