Ottawa Police have identified and charged a man spotted holding a handgun and waving it at motorists on a busy Barrhaven street last month.
Police issued a photograph this week of a man seen in the area of Woodroffe Ave. and Stoneway Dr. on Jan, 17, 2015. Concerned drivers called police.
A man turned himself into Police at the Elgin Street Headquarters late February 4, 2015.
Mahmoud Rawbe, 19, is charged with a long list of firearms offences, including careless use of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and carrying a weapon obtained by crime.
The firearm itself was not seized by police and is still missing.
The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating.
