A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a driver in Sandy Hill.

Emergency responders were called to a section of King Edward Avenue between Rideau Street and Besserer Street at around 10:15 a.m.

Ottawa police said there is a partial road closure in the area. Lanes reopened just before 1 p.m.
