Ottawa ranks as one of the top party cities in Canada

Ottawa may have the reputation of being the town that fun forgot, but a new survey finds Canada's capital is one of the top 10 party cities in Canada.

Uber Canada's new Nightlife Index ranks Ottawa 9th on the list of top 10 "partying cities" in Canada, while Kingston, Ont. ranked 10th

London, Ont. ranks as Canada's top party city for a second straight year, followed by Toronto and Winnipeg.

The Nightlife Index rankings are based on the volume of rides booked through Uber between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. in each city taken every month.

Uber says St. Patrick's Day was the most popular night to hit the town in Ottawa this year.

The busiest nights across Canada are New Year's Eve, St. Patrick's Day and Canada Day.

When it comes to late-night snacks after a night out, Kingston ranks 2nd on the list of cities that orders the most Uber Eats deliveries between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Windsor ranks first on the list, followed by Kingston, the Niagara Region and London.
