Ottawa - At approximately 3:00 a.m., two suspects entered a building along the 300 block of Richelieu Avenue where they attended an apartment and forcibly gained entry.
Once inside, one occupant was stabbed multiple times by one suspect. A second occupant was confronted by the second suspect who was armed with a handgun. The suspects fled empty-handed from the premises after a short time.
The stabbing victim was transported to hospital and is currently in stable condition. The second victim was uninjured.
The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has taken carriage of this investigation and is looking to identify two suspects. They are described as follows:
- Suspect #1 is described as a Caucasian male, short hair on the sides but longer on top pulled into a "man bun", wearing dark clothing;
- Suspect #2 is described as a Black male with a noticeable scar on his face, wearing a winter coat, dark pants with white stripes on the sides.
The suspects fled to a parked vehicle, possibly a black 4 door Toyota (sedan) or similar. The suspects were followed into the building by Caucasian female. Investigators are asking that this person contact the Robbery Unit.
