Ontario Provincial Police charged a truck driver for driving with a detached wheel on Highway 417 in Ottawa on Monday.

OPP say they were called to the westbound lanes of the highway at Parkdale Avenue.

The driver and owner of the truck have both been charged under the Highway Traffic Act.

They could each face fines between $2,000 and $50,000 if convicted.
