Ottawa police have charged a 33-year-old Ottawa man with impaired driving after he was caught going more than 70 km/h over the posted speed limit.
Police stopped the driver going southbound on Woodroffe Ave. around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday. He was allegedly going 152 km/h in an 80 km/h zone and was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police have charged Shane Fagan of Ottawa with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content.
Fagan had his driver’s license suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
