Ottawa's ByWard Market is a popular spot for a Beaver Tail, but on Monday local bylaw officers found themselves grabbing a literal one.

Ottawa Bylaw said that they found an injured beaver near the intersection of King Edward Avenue and Clarence Street Monday morning, calling it "a very Canadian start to the week."

The beaver was taken to the Ottawa Humane Society to be "patched up", Ottawa Bylaw said.
