A 64-year-old Gatineau man is dead after drowning while he was on a fishing trip at McGregor Lake, near Val-des-Monts, Que.
West Quebec police say the man drowned after his fishing boat rolled during the noon hour on Thursday.
Police say the man was not wearing a life-jacket at the time of the incident.
Another passenger who was in the boat when it flipped survived. Police say the surviving passenger was wearing a life-jacket.
A 29-year-old woman died on the same lake when her canoe tipped early Saturday morning.
Police said the woman was not wearing a life-jacket and believe alcohol may have been a factor.
