Fire officials say there are no reports of injuries after a house fire in Richmond, south of downtown Ottawa, early Sunday morning.

Officials received multiple 911 calls around 1:45 a.m. Sunday stating that the log house on Lennox Street was on fire.

The fire was spotted by someone who was camping in a nearby field, according to Ottawa Fire.

A man, woman and their grandson were out of the house when emergency crews arrived.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it appears it began under a deck or gazebo in the back yard.

Total damage is estimated at $450,000.
