The former president of a local hockey association is headed to jail for fraud.

Former Leitrim Minor Hockey Association president David Barker was sentenced to 18 months in jail on Friday.

He was found guilty of fraud earlier this year after more than $150,000 vanished from the hockey association’s account between 2004 and 2006.

If he doesn’t pay $42,000 in fines in the next ten years, he faces another 12 months in jail.
