Trisha Owens

Trisha is an award-winning broadcast journalist who has hosted, reported, produced and anchored at radio and television stations across the province. She first joined Bell Media in 2011, working for Majic 100, CFRA and CTV Ottawa.
During her career that spans almost two decades, Trisha has had the pleasure of covering some very interesting stories from the Dalai Lama's visit to the Nation's Capital in the early 2000s, to Shania Twain's Order of Canada ceremony.
She has interviewed celebrities at hockey games (Matthew Perry), politicians on the campaign trail, and dedicated Canadians working hard to make a difference in their communities.
Trisha won an RTNDA award for breaking news coverage following a massive tornado in the Durham region in the summer of 2009 and she’s also been presented with the Mayor of Ottawa’s City Builder Award for her work on the No More Bullies Educational Campaign.
Born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario, Trisha is thrilled to call Ottawa home these days. She lends her support to many charitable organizations in the city and enjoys meeting the extraordinary people that make this city so special.
