The man accused of beating Breezy the dog nearly to death, has pleaded guilty.
Steven Helfer was charged after Breezy was found in a dumpster clinging to life.
This morning Helfer pleaded guilty to bludgeoning the dog with a shovel and a rake. Helfer also admitted to kicking and beating the 18 month old Labrador cross because he was angry at his mother.
The Humane Society has been pushing for tougher sentences for animal cruelty. Thousands of people have signed a petition. Breezy has had multiple surgeries and is still recovering.
Helfer will be sentenced in the new year.
There are also allegations that he has abused other animals.
