Sam Houpt is a Multi-Skilled Journalist with CTV News Ottawa contributing content to television, radio and digital platforms.
Raised in Peterborough, ON, Sam is new to the capitol and excited to report on stories of all shapes and sizes that impact the community.
Sam graduated from Mohawk College’s journalism program in 2018. He then completed an internship at Cable 14 in Hamilton, and worked for three years as a Videographer Journalist for Global Peterborough, regularly contributing live content to Global Toronto. Sam joined the CTV News team in December 2023.
On the side, Sam enjoys exploring the city with his partner, playing music, video games, tinkering with technology, and spending time with family - including his cat, Basil.
He speaks English and some French.
