An Orlans woman has emerged from a medically-induced coma and is recovering well after being injured while trying to sell jewelry at her home Monday night, hospital officials said Saturday.

Natalie Galipeau, a 31-year-old mother of two, sustained several skull fractures after meeting a potential buyer to close an online deal for a sapphire and diamond bracelet.

However, the meeting quickly turned dangerous and somehow the woman was either dragged or struck by a vehicle.

Police are unsure if the buyer tried to steal the jewelry; however, the item remains missing.

The bracelet is valued at $2,520 and was being sold for $1,250 on usedottawa.com

Police are now looking for a white or silver sports car that was spotted speeding away from the scene. Investigators said the vehicle may have sustained damage to the body of the car or its windshield.
