A woman is in hospital in serious condition after being struck by a pickup truck near Wellington and Elgin Streets in downtown Ottawa.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision near the National War Memorial at around 4:20 p.m.
They treated a 49-year-old woman for head injuries, as well as injuries to her arm and leg.
The woman was unconscious when paramedics arrived, but semi-conscious when she arrived in hospital.
Two westbound lanes on Wellington St. were closed near the scene of the incident.
Ottawa police are investigating.
