Police are trying to figure out what led a 43-year-old woman to take a walk on the Queensway - resulting in her death.
The unidentified victim was struck and killed at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, just east of the Island Park exit on Highway 417.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured in the incident.
Three of the four eastbound lanes were closed for about 6 hours overnight. They re-opened to traffic Thursday morning.
