One person is dead and four others are injured after a serious three-vehicle collision on Stagecoach Road in Osgoode.

Firefighters were first on the scene Friday morning, and immediately administered CPR on a 31-year-old woman who had no vital signs.

An off-duty paramedic from Leeds and Grenville also arrived at the scene shortly after the collision.

Despite efforts to save the woman, she was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived. Her name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

A 32-year-old man travelling in the same vehicle was treated for chest and back injuries. He is in serious but stable condition in hospital.

A 53-year-old female passenger of a minivan is also in serious but stable condition. She was treated for several fractured ribs and a partially collapsed lung.

Paramedics say the 50-year-old male driver of the van was treated for back and arm injuries. He is in stable condition in hospital.

Meanwhile, a 34-year-old woman who was driving a small car received minor injuries in the crash. She did not seek treatment in hospital.

Police are continuing to gather evidence at the scene. Stagecoach Road remains closed between Cabin and Snake Island Roads.
