A 96-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital after a serious collision on Highway 307 in the Outaouais Tuesday night.
Police say the woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was hit by a van when the vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 307 and De Le Peche Road in Val-des-Monts.
Police have identified the victim as Irene Hebert, of Cantley.
The collision marks the first fatal crash on roads patrolled by MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais this year.
