TWEED, Ont. -- Provincial police say a 36-year-old woman is facing six charges in a sexual assault investigation.

OPP say they launched the investigation on Sunday following allegations of sexual offences involving children in Tweed, Ont.

Police say the alleged incidents occurred between 2013 and 2016 and involved children between the ages of 12 and 15.

A woman from Stirling, Ont., is being held in custody pending a court hearing on Tuesday.

Police say she's charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation, luring a child, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
