The Winchester District Memorial Hospital officially opened its new $60-million building on Friday after a massive fundraising campaign.
A new emergency department, CT scanner, and state-of-the-art medical equipment will treat patients from across North and South Dundas, North and South Stormont, Russell, Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, and Osgoode.
Patients and staff from certain units were moved in at the end of February.
Local residents raised about one-third of the cost.
