Residents living in parts of the city's west end are still cleaning up after a storm swept through the region on Friday, causing severe flooding in areas that were supposed to be protected from such incidents.

The acting mayor and west-end councillors met with members of city staff Monday to try to determine how the area became flooded.

But residents of the Glen Cairn neighbourhood in Kanata, who are dealing with the fourth flood to hit their neighbourhood in 13 years, say they need action.

Coun. Shad Qadri, who's visiting flooded homes in Stittsville, told CTV Ottawa on Monday that there's at least one home affected on at least 32 streets.

Some streets are worse. On Coyote Crescent, every home is dealing with a flooded basement.
