A well-known Ottawa realtor said charges against her from an industry watchdog are based on false allegations.
Marnie Bennett is facing 18 charges from the Real Estate Council of Ontario, alleging she falsified documents and obstructed industry inspectors.
She's facing heavy fines if found guilty.
Bennett said in a statement that the allegations are coming from "disgruntled ex-agents" and would be proven false in court.
She said none of the allegations relates to any dealings with consumers.
Bennett has been working in real estate in the Ottawa area for more than 30 years.
She led the number one Keller Williams Realty International sales team in 2010 and 2011, and was given an award for marketplace trust in 2011.
