Watson releases integrity platform
Mayoral candidate Jim Watson released an integrity platform Sunday that he says will restore confidence in Ottawa's city hall.
He wants city politicians' hospitality and transport expenses posted online.
Watson also wants a bylaw to prevent elected officials from sitting on for-profit corporate boards, and would introduce a municipal integrity commissioner to enforce the integrity guidelines.
The platform also recommends a lobbyist registry.
Watson says the changes would bring more transparency and accountability to city politics.
