Gubin's wife found him dead in the shoe store attached to their Bank Street residence. Police believe the perpetrators broke into the home via the store's front door and confronted Gubin in a robbery.
The store's front window was broken and blood other than the victim's was found on glass shards at the door.
There were no known witnesses. Several suspects were interviewed and released.
