Violeta Borisonik came to Canada from Argentina, 25 years ago in search of the creative freedom to pursue her art. She works in her home studio, and many of her mixed media works draw from the vibrancy and colour of life in Beunos Aires. Her urban landscapes are textured collages incorporating paper, metal, fibers and found objects. Her latest paintings are in the abstract geometric style, and can be seen at the Kanata Civic Art Gallery and the Kanata Artists Studio Tour. Violetta also teaches printmaking workshops, and recently resumed jewelery making, a passion that started many years ago in Agentina.
