Ontario Provincial Police have identified the victim in Thursday's crash involving a vehicle and coach bus along Highway 417 near Vankleek Hill as 74-year-old Angelos Nastatos of Rockland.
It happened on Highway 417 near Vankleek Hill around 3:20 p.m .
OPP say both the vehicle Nastatos was driving and the coach bus were going eastbound when they collided.
There were 48 passengers on the bus, plus the driver.
Ottawa paramedics were called in as extra support to Prescott-Russell paramedics. Five passengers were treated for minor injuries. Two people were taken to hospital.
The bus was en route from Ottawa to Montreal.
As of 11 p.m. Thursday the eastbound lanes of Highway 417 were still closed as police investigated. Traffic was detoured at Highway 34.
