A 36-year-old man was in critical condition after being stabbed several times Saturday morning at his Vanier residence.
A sharp instrument was used in the attack, which occurred at about 11:15 a.m on Richelieu Street. The victim sustained wounds in his chest and abdominal region.
Paramedics had to use aggressive techniques on the man, who was taken to the Ottawa Hospital. His injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
Chantal Trudel, 21, is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, and two counts of breach of probation.
