Vanier pair charged with drug trafficking
A man and woman from Vanier have been charged with drug trafficking,and police are looking for a third suspect.
A three-week investigation began after community complaints about drug dealing in Vanier. Police seized an undisclosed amount of cash and crack cocaine.
Alfred Regimbald Coward, 54, and Joanne Gertrude Charlebois, 50, were charged with drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Coward was also charged with resisting arrest, and Charlebois with failing to comply with an officer's orders. Both made court appearances on Friday.
Police said they have dealt with Charlebois three times since late-January.
A warrant was also issued for 38-year-old Sophie Dominique Blanchard.
