Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is poking fun at Ottawa hockey fans who think she was responsible for Mike Fisher's trade to the Nashville Predators.

"I'm glad people think I'm that powerful. If you play for any professional sports team, do not mess with me, I will get you traded to Lord knows where," Underwood said during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday night.

She said even her friends have asked her how she managed to get Fisher to leave the Ottawa Senators. But Underwood insists she had nothing to do with the trade.

Fisher was traded to Nashville in February. His trade was the first of many for the Ottawa Senators as they started to rebuild their struggling hockey team.

In exchange for Fisher, the Sens got a first-round draft pick in 2011 and a conditional third-round draft pick in 2012.

Fisher, 30, had spent his entire career with the Ottawa Senators. He's now in his 11th full season in the NHL.
