A missing Ottawa teen may have been spotted at a pizza joint on McArthur Avenue on Sunday night, according to police.
The teen's family says a video has also surfaced, which might show 14-year-old Justin Rutter being beaten up.
"It's the toughest thing I know I'm ever going to go through," said Preston MacLaren, whose son has been missing for six days.
"I haven't stopped crying. My wife's having pains, some serious pain only a mother can have."
MacLaren's teenaged son hasn't returned to his Lowertown home since going out with friends on Thursday. He apparently told his friend he wanted to stay out late, possibly all night, according to police.
Rutter was last seen on Cote Street near St. Laurent Boulevard at about 10 p.m. on Thursday.
"Now, we're getting new information that this other kid . . . was seen on Cote Street and possibly videotaped. And this is another beating and apparently maybe quite severe," said MacLaren.
Rutter is described as a "street smart" kid who is known for his outgoing nature -- he's even nicknamed "the little Mayor of Lowertown."
"He's an all around really nice kid and I can't see him doing this," said Jaye Rutter, Justin's mom.
"I'm really worried, just incredibly worried. I just need to hear from my son."
Rutter is described as about five feet four inches tall, and weighs 110 pounds. He has light brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing jeans and a brown and white hoodie at the time of his disappearance.
Police say he often hangs out in the Lowertown, Vanier and Overbrook area. He has never stayed away from home before.
