A two-year-old boy died Saturday morning after falling into a lake in the Outaouais.
La Sûreté du Québec said Bradin Leslie was inside his house with his parents Saturday morning in Fieldville, Que., about 65 kilometres northwest of downtown Ottawa.
Police said he then opened the patio door and got out without his parents noticing.
Around 8:30 a.m. the parents noticed they couldn't find him, went outside and found him in the lake.
Doctors pronounced him dead at hospital.
Police said they'll talk to the parents later for more details on the incident.
