UPDATE: Rachelle Giff-Jessup and Jason Delorme were acquitted of the charges related to this incident.

Ontario Provincial Police have charged two people after a horse was stolen from his stall on Tuesday night.

Myles, an 11-year-old gelding, was taken from a barn on Vaughn Side Road, near March and Upper Dwyer Hill Rd on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was located at a property on Water Street in Almonte a few days later, and returned to his owners.

In a desperate attempt to find him, Myles' owners created a Facebook post asking for help. That post went viral, shared widely on various social media platforms.

On Thursday, May 7, 2015, Ontario Provincial Police laid charges against two individuals.

Jason Delorme, a 34-year-old from Ottawa and Rachelle Giff-Jessup, a 27-year-old from Mississippi Mills, were charged with Possession of Stolen Property – Over $5,000.

Both were released on a promise to appear in court on June 9, 2015.
