Two young Ottawa men are facing a string of charges after a violent armed robbery at an east-end retail store last week.
Police were called to The Source on St. Laurent Boulevard after a sales clerk and two customers were tied up and threatened with a firearm on Aug. 17. The suspects got away with cash and electronics.
Kadar Abdillahi, 19, and Jamal Omar, 18, are now charged with various offences, including pointing a firearm, robbery and wearing a disguise.
Omar is also charged with obstructing a police officer and failing to comply with a Youth Criminal Justice Act sentence.
