OPP say two people are dead and two others injured in a violent overnight incident north of Kingston.
It started about 5 p.m. in the community of Tamworth. OPP say they responded to a "serious incident."
Two adult men are dead, one man and one woman were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there are six scenes involved in the investigation, including the community post office, the fire hall and at homes along County Road 15.
Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has been called in to probe the actions of the OPP. The SIU investigates every case involving interactions between the publilc and the police that result in death or serious injury.
